"And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:19
First and foremost, none of this would have been possible without Jesus. It is because of the desire He placed in our hearts, and His wisdom and guidance that we are able to achieve anything. Through Him, we are able to have the resources, support, and manpower to leave a positive impact for people in the communities we serve.
To say it hasn’t been easy is an understatement, but the impact we are making is something that can be seen and heard from within the people of the community. Our goal is to educate, encourage, empower, and uplift the children to be Godly leaders and teach them to share what they’ve learned with others. Currently we are serving through sports training, educational teachings, and community involvement.
We provide baseball, and volleyball supplies and uniforms to the children to build hope, and foster a sense of belonging and togetherness, while simultaneously showing God’s words and love to them. It helps to teach them the importance of productivity and gives them an opportunity to develop and grow into godly characters.
We have some of the local young adults who give their personal time teaching English and giving Music lesson, as well as having Children Programs where we provide educational lesson and activities. We also have a Garden Project that not only teaches the children to plant, but teaches them the life lesson on what God’s love is; The crop of their labor will be rewarding and flourishing when the proper care and love goes into something or with someone.
We regularly have Clean Up Days where we gather the children and teach them importance of keeping their community and ocean clean. We then we go out and clean the community, while the children share with their neighbors and friends the importance of what they’re doing. We also have weekly Small Groups for young girls where they are learning to be empowered through the word of God. Additionally, we go on Community Walks where we listen and pray for the people to create a stronger bond with them and learn more about how we can work to meet some of their needs.
Diana S., who helps to lead the little girls through Volleyball was asked why she wanted to be a mentor to them. Here is what She said “ I decided to make this decision since I love to see the look on their faces, their beautiful smile that captivates you and envelops you in their world of happiness. I decided to help, since it was born from the heart and the same community and I had the interest to know them and try to understand them and help guide them . When I saw what the mentors of Noble Hearts were doing I wanted to become a of the family and help the girls in my small neighborhood. I saw this as a great blessing that God had given me, so that I could fulfill some of my dreams; to share with the children :)”
Leonardo M (Lolo), when asked about how he got involved with Noble Hearts. He said “In 2016 I had no idea or plans to achieve any dreams or purpose in my life, but then in that year I started to learn English and at that time I met a beautiful person whose name is Bellanira. She has invited me to church, so one day I decided to go and since then I’ve been growing in Christ. In 2018 I met some Americans in the Ears to Hear Ministry here in Casandra, DR that helped me and my friend Tony learn English and more about God. Later that year we’ve decided to help the children by teaching them a little English, while at the same time shared the word of God, it started with 3 kids and grew to just over 30, but after a few months it became too much with not having proper materials and support. In 2019 God gave Kevin from Noble Hearts, who was one of the person that helped us with English the desire to come back to Casandra to share and cast the vision to a few of the young Christian adults about how important it is to share what we’re blessed with to our neighbors. It was the sacrifices and effort he made that made me wanted to share with the kids what God had blessed me with if I claim to be a Christ follower. I know with prayers and being Obedient, God will use us as recipients to help and bless others. God bless you all”.
